A popular theme in Dutch modern painting at the end of the last century is the paradox between system and imagination. This manifested itself in rational structures (grids) and picturesque, erratic forms that deviate from this and partly disrupt the system.
I reconstructed one of the paintings I made in this tradition in VR. The flat canvas has been replaced by spatial geometric boxes in which, and on which, flat brush strokes and short typographic statements are placed.
